Can we talk about hitting 40 no show consults in one year and what it finally forced me to do
I run a small bookkeeping shop out of Columbus and last month I looked at my calendar and realized I'd burned 40 slots on people who just never logged into the Zoom call. That's roughly $6,000 in billable work gone, which pushed me to start charging a $50 deposit that comes off the first invoice. Does anyone have a deposit policy that doesn't scare off the good clients?

Wow, 40 no shows? That is just wild to me. Six grand of your time gone because folks could not be bothered to click a link, and you are the one stuck holding the bag. A $50 deposit that comes off the first bill sounds like the right kind of fix since it weeds out the folks who were never serious anyway.
