Can we talk about how 'unlimited revisions' is a trap for both sides

I tried offering unlimited revisions on a logo design for a bakery in Portland last year. Thought it would make them happy and build trust. Instead, I went through 14 rounds of tiny tweaks like changing the font size by 2 pixels over and over. Learned that setting a hard cap at 3 revision rounds upfront saves everyone time and frustration. Has anyone else had unlimited revisions blow up on them like that?

Oh god yes. I did that for a coffee shop logo and ended up moving the same leaf graphic 3 pixels left and right for 8 rounds before I finally put my foot down. Never again, three rounds max is the only way to go.

3 rounds of tiny tweaks sounds like a nightmare honestly.

Wait, so you paid someone to watch you move a leaf 3 pixels back and forth for 8 rounds? That's a whole new level of patience I do NOT have.
