Client asked for 'cleanup' then said I ripped them off on a 900 square foot patio

I did a pressure wash for a homeowner in Phoenix about 3 weeks ago. They said 'cleanup' meant just the walkway, but when I got there they pointed to the whole back patio and driveway too. I quoted $200 upfront based on the walkway alone, then they watched me work for 4 hours and acted surprised when I asked for another $150. They tried to argue the price was set, even though the extra areas were obvious from the start. I ended up splitting the difference just to get paid and drive off. Has anyone else had a client redefine the scope mid-job and then blame you for their own confusion?
