I read a study that said 27% of freelancers have a client who owes them over $1,000

Found it in a report from a freelance union last month. I mean, it made me feel less alone about my own late payment, but also way more worried. Has anyone else had to chase a payment that big?

Wait, that article thing is a bit off. It's not that our brains process the feeling the same as pain, it's more that the same alarm system goes off for both. So it's not like a stubbed toe, but it sure sets off all the same panic bells. Makes total sense why the memory makes you physically cringe years later.

Ugh, tell me about it! I read this article that said our brains actually process social awkwardness like physical pain. No wonder it feels so awful! It's like your whole body cringes just remembering it.
