I saw a client at the grocery store in Tulsa who still owes me $500 from a job last fall. Should I say something or let it go?

You should definitely say something. That's a lot of money to let slide, and running into them is a perfect chance to bring it up. Just keep it polite and direct, ask if they've had a chance to look at the invoice.

Actually, running into them in person puts them on the spot and makes it super awkward. That invoice should be handled through a proper email or call, not a surprise chat in public. Putting someone in a corner like that can ruin the relationship for good. A direct message gives them time to sort it out without the pressure. Keeping it professional off the street is the better move.
