Pro tip: don't argue with a guy about a $40 brake job refund when he's holding a rotisserie chicken
Last week a guy comes in with a 2009 Corolla, says the brakes are squealing after I did pads and rotors 6 days ago. I offer him two choices right there in the bay: I can put it on the lift and check it out for free while he waits, or he can leave it and I'll get to it by Friday. He picks option two, then comes back 20 minutes later with a hot rotisserie chicken from the Safeway on 4th, waving it around and demanding his $40 back because his cousin said the pads I used were junk. I just stood there watching chicken grease drip on my floor mat while he yelled. I gave him the refund, and he walked out holding that bird like a trophy. Next morning he calls back, super quiet, says his son put the pads on backwards at his house. Has anyone else ever paid a guy just to make him leave with his food?
