Signed a 12 month contract without a kill fee, now stuck with a nightmare client

I took a retainer deal with a startup in Austin back in January, $2k a month for social media management. They kept adding scope every single week, I'm talking 3am emails and demands for 20 story drafts daily. I pushed back twice, but they threatened to withhold payment, so I swallowed it. Just found out they expect me to handle their print ads too, for free. Anyone else get cornered by a contract with no exit clause?
