That $80 SEO audit tool burned me hard last month

I paid for a fancy audit report that promised to find all my client's technical issues, but it flagged 300 problems that were mostly junk. Spent 15 hours fixing stuff that didn't matter while the real issue - slow server response - got buried on page 14. Has anyone else wasted cash on a tool that just made more work?

The burnout from chasing fake issues is real, sounds like we both got suckered by the same kind of noise machine. Did you ever get that server response sorted in the end?

That 300 problem audit sounds familiar, I flagged over half as false positives too.

Used to be all in on those big audit tools till I had the exact same thing happen. Paid for one that screamed about missing meta descriptions everywhere but totally ignored the fact my database queries were taking like 8 seconds. @sean48 you're dead on about the false positives, I started manually checking every flag against what actually mattered for speed and soon realized the tool was just noise. Switched to tracking 5 key metrics manually instead and got way more done.
