The "just add more content" strategy is killing small business sites

Every SEO thread I see suggests pumping out 3 blog posts a week, but I just spent 9 months fixing a client's site in Austin where that approach buried their actual services pages under 50 thin articles that rank for nothing. Has anyone else had to convince a client to stop writing and start fixing their site structure instead?

Content quality matters way more than quantity, and most of those threads skip over that part. A hundred thin posts nobody reads can actually hurt your site's reputation with Google over time. Focusing on structure and one great page beats ten rushed blog posts every time.

Structure fixes pay off way faster than 50 thin blog posts.

Oh great, so the plan is to bury the only pages that actually make money under a mountain of "5 Tips for Organizing Your Shed" content. That's a real genius move. It's like opening a taco stand and deciding the best use of your time is painting the parking lot stripes instead of making sure the salsa doesn't taste like regret.
