Tried a "no revisions" clause in my contract with one client, and it backfired in a way I did not see coming
I got burned by a logo project in Dallas that dragged through 14 rounds of changes, so I put a hard 2 revision limit in my next contract with a bakery client. Instead of pushing back, they just went quiet for 3 weeks and then sent one giant list of 40 changes at once that blew past the limit anyway. Then they argued the whole batch counted as round one since it came in a single email. I learned that a rule without a clear way to count a "round" is basically useless, so now I write out exactly what counts as one pass before I start. Has anyone found a contract wording that stops clients from dumping a huge pile of edits at the end?
