Caught a 90-day autorenewal in my own gym contract after 2 years
Last month I dug out my old gym membership agreement to check my cancellation window and spotted a clause I'd never noticed. It auto-renews for another 90 days unless I give written notice 30 days before the term ends, which basically locks me in past the date I wanted to leave. I called the manager and he pointed to the exact paragraph in the fine print, so I know it's legal but it still feels sneaky. Has anyone else fought an autorenewal like this, and did you manage to get out without paying that extra quarter?

Thirty days written notice is on page two of your contract you signed twice.
