I flipped on arbitration clauses after a 3 month fight in Cleveland

Used to skim past arbitration clauses, figured they were boilerplate. Then a supplier contract in Cleveland forced me into mediation over a $4,800 part dispute and it took 3 months just to get a hearing date. Now I check whether the clause names a specific arbitrator or lets you pick, because that timing difference matters way more than I thought. Anyone else gotten burned by a vague arbitration setup?
