Wait, what kind of stuff was the clause trying to make you pay for? I mean, was it super broad, like covering things you didn't even do?

Indemnity clauses are no joke. Read a story where a small business got stuck paying for a huge lawsuit because of bad wording. The legal clinic probably saved you from a similar mess. Those sections can make you responsible for things totally out of your control. Always worth getting a second look before you sign anything. A free review is a smart move.
