My leasing office buried a $75 "admin fee" in paragraph 14 and it took me 3 hours to win
I caught it while skimming a 22-page apartment lease in Phoenix and the manager kept saying it was standard, so I asked her to show me where it said that. Ended up on hold with a tenant hotline for an hour and a half before they made her drop it. Has anyone dealt with a fee hiding in the fine print that nobody could point to a page for?

Calling them out right there is the move. If they can't point to the page, the fee isn't real. Nine times out of ten they count on people just paying to avoid the hassle. Good on you for sitting on hold that long, most folks give up after ten minutes.
