Pro tip: the renewal clause I skimmed in 2019 put me in a bind this March

My landlord in Tucson snuck in an auto-renew with a 45% rent bump, I never caught it because I was too busy signing at 11pm, has anyone else gotten burned by a renewal clause they forgot about?

Got burned the same way back in 2021, ended up having to give 60 days notice in writing even though I thought my lease was month to month after the first year. Now I set a reminder on my phone for like 3 months before any lease ends and I reread the whole thing with a highlighter. Sucks you gotta treat landlords like they're gonna trick you, but that's the game.
