A hostel coworker in Medellin unplugged my laptop mid-upload and I lost 2 hours of client work
I was working from the common room of a hostel in El Poblado two weeks ago, finishing a rush edit for a client in London. This guy staying in my dorm grabbed my charger to juice his phone because "it was the only open outlet," and my screen went black mid-render. I lost about 2 hours of timeline work and had to explain the delay to my client, who was already annoyed about the time zone gap. Now I only work from a private room or a coworking spot, even if it costs me $12 a day. How do you all handle shared spaces when you need a real deadline met?
