Coworking space skeptic no more after a week in Lisbon

I used to think coworking was just overpriced coffee and loud phone calls, but a week at a spot in Lisbon with a proper quiet floor and fast fiber changed my whole setup. Now I book a desk whenever I land somewhere new, has anyone else found that the right space actually beats their apartment for focus?

The quiet floor thing is the real game changer. Once you get used to actual silence, your apartment feels like a coffee shop with a roommate who always picks the worst time to start vacuuming. I started booking desks near the window too, that natural light does something to my brain. Now I basically treat my apartment like a place to sleep and cook, all the real work happens somewhere I paid twenty euros to sit. The trick is finding spots that actually enforce the noise rules, some places just slap a sign on the door and call it a day.
