I finally saw the difference after switching my SIM card in Mexico City

I was using a T-Mobile roaming plan for 3 months in Mexico City and my Zoom calls kept dropping. Switched to a local Telcel SIM for 400 pesos a month and my upload speed went from 5 Mbps to 45 Mbps overnight. The latency difference was massive too. Anyone else notice a huge jump when you go local with your mobile data?

Moved here from Colorado and had the exact same thing happen with my hotspot for streaming games on my laptop. Couldn't even watch a full episode without buffering then boom, local chip fixed everything. Kinda makes you wonder why big carriers don't just cut a deal with the local networks.
