Left my adapter in a taxi and couldn't work for two days

I was in Lisbon and my laptop charger plug didn't fit the outlets here. Rushed to a meeting and left my travel adapter in the cab. Had to hunt all over for a store that sold the right one, wasted so much time. Ever lost something small that totally messed up your work flow?
