My $4 hostel curtain hack in Chiang Mai, but is it actually ruining coworking for everyone?
I was losing my mind trying to take client calls from a 6 bed dorm in Chiang Mai, so I sewed a cheap shower curtain around my bunk. It actually worked great, blocked the noise and gave me a dark little pod for $4. But now I see people doing this in every hostel and some spots are starting to ban it. So is this a smart nomad trick or are we just being rude to the people around us? I get the hustle but I also get why a hostel in Lisbon put up a sign about it. Where do you draw the line between making it work and being that guy?
