Overheard a guy at a Chiang Mai co-working spot say he 'works better with noise', and it made me question my whole setup
I've been chasing silence for 18 months, renting private rooms and wearing earplugs, but lately I'm wondering if the cafe chatter actually helps me focus on spreadsheet work. Has anyone else found that background noise beats a quiet room for their actual job, or is it just me?

Are you doing the same kind of work in both setups? Because I've found noise helps with repetitive spreadsheet stuff, but it kills me when I have to write or think through a tricky problem. What kind of tasks are you actually trying to get done when you chase that silence?
