PSA: I blew off the guy in Chiang Mai who said to get a local SIM on day one
He said "don't wait for the airport wifi, just pay the 300 baht at 7-Eleven" and after two weeks of 40-minute video calls freezing on my $30 eSIM plan, I finally did it and my upload speed went from 2 Mbps to 80, so what's the cheapest local carrier people have found in Southeast Asia?
