Read a post about 6 months of hostel life and it made me question my own setup
Some guy in the Thailand group said he stayed in 14 hostels across Chiang Mai and Pai for under $900 total, and his whole gear fit in one 30L bag. That got me thinking about my current plan, I've been renting a studio in Lisbon for $850 a month and carrying a 65L duffel everywhere. I kind of want to try the lighter route for 3 months, but I'm scared my laptop and camera gear alone are too much for hostel lockers. Does anyone actually make the hostel circuit work with professional equipment, or is the private Airbnb route the only real way to keep gear safe?
