Rented a coworking desk for 2 weeks and my output doubled, what gives?

I've been hopping between cafes and my apartment for like a year, thinking I was saving money. Last month in Chiang Mai I paid $120 for a desk at Punspace just to try it out. The weird thing is, I got more client work done in those 14 days than in the previous 3 weeks combined. Now I'm wondering if it's the quiet, the other people working, or just having a set spot to show up to every morning. Has anyone else seen a huge jump just from switching to a real desk setup?

Stumbled onto the same thing myself last year. I thought the money was the whole point of working from home, but it turns out my brain just never switched into "work mode" at my kitchen table. Having a separate place where other people are grinding somehow makes me feel like I'm slacking if I check my phone too much. The real kicker was that I started showing up at the same time every day just because I paid for the desk, and that routine did more than the coffee or the wifi ever did. Now I split the difference, I work from home on easy days and rent a desk when I have real deadlines.
