Showerthought: I was booking flights home every 3 months for a year before it hit me
I sat down last Tuesday in Chiang Mai to do my budget and saw I had paid $1,850 in change fees just moving flights around because I kept planning trips around visa runs instead of just picking one base. The thing that tipped me off was a hostel roommate in Da Nang asking why I looked so tired all the time, and I realized I was burning whole days in airports every few months. How do you all decide when to settle in one spot versus keep hopping, is there a number of months that feels right?
