Vent: a hostel guy in Lisbon said skip the coworking pass, and my back agrees with him
He said spend the $200 on a decent chair instead of a $200/month desk pass, so I did, and I got way more done from my Airbnb in Alfama. Now I want to know, has anyone else ditched the coworking thing and just built a setup wherever they land?

Bought a good chair too, but I gotta say the coworking thing still has its place. Sitting alone in an Airbnb for weeks on end gets old fast, and I've found that paying for a pass is less about the desk and more about being around other people who are actually working. The chair helps your back, sure, but it does nothing for the part of your brain that starts going stir crazy when every day looks the same. Maybe the real move is a cheap chair and a cheaper pass, instead of going all in on one or the other. Different strokes though, if Alfama is treating you well then keep at it.
