Finished my first raised garden bed frame in under 2 hours

I used to just buy those flimsy kits from Home Depot that fall apart after one season. Then I watched my neighbor build his own from cedar planks and it looked so solid I had to try. Last Sunday I finally cut and assembled my own 4x8 frame from scratch with just a circular saw and a drill. The whole thing cost me about 45 bucks compared to 80 for a kit that would barely last. Anyone else find that building your own outdoor stuff feels way more rewarding than buying pre-made?

Buddy of mine built a really nice little house for his backyard birds and some huge raccoon just moved in and took over the whole thing. Now he’s got a fat raccoon sleeping in there every night and absolutely ZERO birds anywhere near it.
