Question about building a shed base with gravel vs concrete

I had to pick between a gravel pad or a concrete slab for my 8x10 shed in the backyard. My neighbor said gravel was fine, but I poured a 4 inch slab myself over a weekend. It cost about $300 for the mix and took two full days of work. The slab is rock solid now and I don't worry about it shifting. Has anyone else gone with concrete and regretted the extra effort?

Oh man, concrete is the way to go! My uncle's gravel base for his old shed washed out in a bad storm and the whole thing tipped over.

Was that the big storm we had last spring? I swear that thing moved so much dirt in my yard. I had a gravel pad for a playset that completely sank on one side after all that rain, it was a total mess. Trying to level it again was such a pain, I ended up just getting a concrete slab poured instead. It's been solid as a rock ever since, no more worrying about it every time it rains hard.

Concrete doesn't get emotional about rain.
