Serious question, why does nobody talk about using a heat gun to pull dented trim straight?
Had 14 feet of mashed up baseboard in a rental in Akron and a $25 heat gun got every dent out in about 20 minutes, so why do people rip it all out and buy new stuff?

My uncle does property flipping in Toledo and he swears by this trick too. He told me he saw a guy on YouTube do a whole hallway of door casing with just a heat gun and a wet rag to cool it back down. Something about warming the wood fibers so they slide back into place, then the damp cloth sets it. He said the trick is keeping the gun moving so you don't scorch the paint. Guess most folks just don't know about it so they yank everything and hit up the hardware store.
