Shoutout to the person who glued their miter saw fence instead of fixing it
Picked up a used saw off Marketplace last week and found the fence was epoxied on at a 3 degree angle. Took me 2 hours with a heat gun to undo someone's shortcut. Why do people think glue is a permanent fix for alignment?

Is it just me or does this feel like they used glue because they had no idea how to actually fix the post? Like, maybe they thought it would hold up until someone inspected it closely and then it would be the next owner's problem. Definitely a lesson in checking everything before you hand over cash on Marketplace.

Man, that is such a hack job right there. Honestly, I get trying to save a few bucks, but epoxy on a fence? That's not a fix, that's a disaster waiting to happen. Did you end up messaging the seller about it, or just chalk it up as a lesson learned with Marketplace stuff?
