Tried building a workbench without squaring the frame first

I was putting together a 6 foot workbench in my garage last Saturday and got cocky. Just slapped the 2x4s together with screws thinking it'd be fine. By the time I got the top on, the whole thing wobbled like a drunk at closing time. Had to unscrew everything, lay it out on the floor, and use a square on every single corner. Took me an extra 45 minutes but now that bench doesn't budge an inch. Anyone else skip the square because you're in a hurry and regret it?

Caught myself doing the same thing last month putting together a cheap bookshelf from the hardware store. Figured it was just a flat pack so how bad could it be. Got halfway through and one of the shelves was sitting at like a 10 degree angle. Had to take the whole thing apart and start over with the little plastic level I keep in my toolbox. Now my books look like they're about to slide off but at least the shelf itself is square.

Shelf might be square but if the books are leaning, that's not really square, @the_sage.
