Warning: Picked a cordless framing nailer over pneumatic last month and it cost me big
I had to choose between a $400 cordless nailer and a $150 pneumatic setup for my deck build in Phoenix. I went cordless thinking no hoses would speed things up. Halfway through day one, the battery died in 90 degree heat and I had no backup. Now I'm stuck waiting for a charge while the old guys with air compressors are laughing at me. Has anyone else found a cordless brand that actually lasts a full day?

Honestly used to be team cordless but that changed my mind quick.

Did you try it with a bigger battery though? I run a 5 amp hour on my Milwaukee and it goes way past 150 nails even in direct sun. Not saying you're wrong, just that cordless has come a long way if you get the right setup.

I bought a Ridgid cordless framing nailer thinking I was being clever. First job out in the sun the thing gave up after about 150 nails. I looked like a fool standing there with a dead tool while the compressor guys just kept hammering away. My buddy said it was the heat killing the battery but I think it was just a weak tool. Ended up returning it and grabbing a used pneumatic off Craigslist for 60 bucks. Guess I'm on team air now too.
