Pro tip: I realized my follow-up emails were basically just spam after a friend said 'I'd delete this too'.
I was sending the same 'just checking in' template every three days to a potential lead for a branding project, and she finally told me it felt pushy and gave no new reason to reply. So I rewrote it to add a link to a relevant article about their industry (fitness wearables) and asked a specific question about their target user. What's one small, specific thing you add to a follow-up to make it not feel like spam?

Honestly that sounds like extra work for no reason. If they were gonna reply they would have already.

Used to be on team "if they wanted to reply they would" but honestly the article link thing actually changed my mind for me. Makes it way less about pestering and more about showing you actually paid attention to what they do. That one extra step cuts down the spammy vibe by a lot.

That article link is a solid move... makes it feel like a real conversation. How do you find those relevant pieces without it taking an hour of research?
