PSA: I used to send long pitch emails with my whole portfolio attached
Now I just link to one case study and ask for a 15 minute call, because a CEO in Austin told me he deletes anything over three paragraphs. Anyone else switch to shorter emails?

That's a great change, but do you think three paragraphs is the real rule? In my experience, it's more about the time it takes to read. I've had CEOs delete one dense paragraph and read three quick ones. Maybe the key is just being fast to scan.

Reminds me of a client who sent a one page email that was just a wall of text. I told him to break it into three chunks with bold headings. He said no one reads past the first line anyway. Next week he forwards me a reply from their biggest account, the guy literally quoted one of his new headings back at him. Sometimes you gotta make it easy for people to grab onto something.

My boss used to send these huge emails... I started putting the main ask in the subject line. Suddenly people actually replied to that part.
