Shoutout to the person who shared their cold email template last week - I used it to land a $2k contract

All that personalization stuff is overrated... I just blast the same generic template to 50 people and close more deals that way. The Tuesday morning thing is a myth too, I get my best responses on Friday afternoons when everyone is checked out and bored. People overthink cold email way too much when really it's just a numbers game.

I read something from a marketing professor at Stanford about how the brain processes emails differently on Tuesday mornings versus Friday afternoons. She said our brains are more open to taking action on Tuesdays because Monday is for catching up and Friday is for winding down. @shane_wilson your experience with Tuesday morning emails matches what she found in her research. It makes sense that personalizing the first line works so well too, since our brains naturally perk up when we see our own name or something familiar. I think the person who blasted 50 generic emails is missing out on the potential for much bigger deals by not building real connections. Getting that first $2k contract is a sign that personalized cold emails actually build trust, not just volume.

The 2,000 dollar milestone is huge, congrats! I found that personalizing the first line with a specific project they just shipped made my reply rate jump from 7% to almost 30%. Also keeping the whole email under 100 words so they can skim it in 10 seconds. One thing that helped me was sending the email on Tuesday morning around 9am their time, not Monday when everyone is flooded.
