Tried a super casual follow-up email vs a structured one last week and the difference was insane
Sent the casual one to 10 leads and got zero replies, then sent the structured one with bullet points to 10 different leads and booked 4 calls, so I guess my personality is dead now.

Bet on the casual one working better over time because people can smell a sales script from a mile away and bullet points make you look like a robot, not a human.

yeah that's a solid point laura because nobody talks about industry context enough. i work in saas so my clients are mostly startup founders who reply to "heyo" type emails but if i was selling to like law firms or insurance companies i'd look real dumb using that tone. i think the real trick is figuring out which universe you're in before picking a style and then testing it.

The 4 calls out of 10 thing is pretty wild, but I wonder if your industry or niche matters way more than people give it credit for. In my experience, a casual tone flops hard with corporate procurement folks who have 50 emails in their inbox by 10am.
