Update: I was sending follow-ups way too fast after a pitch

A prospect in Dallas told me straight up my second email felt pushy because it came just two days after my first. I switched to waiting a full week, and my reply rate jumped from like 15% to almost 40%. What's the sweet spot you all use for timing after a cold pitch?

Ever think about matching their time zone for the follow-up?

Man, that's a great point about time zones. It's not just about waiting a week, it's about when that week-old email lands. Sending a follow-up at 9 AM their time feels way more considerate than blasting it out whenever you remember. I even set my calendar to remind me to send Dallas emails at 10 AM Central. It seems small, but hitting their inbox when they're actually starting work makes a huge difference. It just feels less like spam and more like a normal message.

Wrong. You should send at their 8 AM not 10 AM.
