Wasted $480 on a fancy CRM before I learned what I actually needed
I signed up for a big-name CRM with all the automation bells and whistles, thinking it would fix my follow-up game. Turns out I spent 3 months fighting the settings and still sent fewer emails than when I just used a simple spreadsheet and a calendar reminder. The wake-up call came when a client in Denver mentioned they almost went with a competitor because my reply took 4 days while I was buried in the CRM's workflow. Has anyone else downgraded to a simpler tool and seen their response time actually improve?

The "fighting the settings" part hit way too close to home. I read somewhere that most people only use like 10% of what these big tools do, and honestly that math checks out for me. I went back to a basic list and a sticky note on my monitor, and somehow my follow-ups actually happen now.
