Chose between renting a gas auger and digging by hand for 18 post holes in clay, and I'm glad I rented
Spent $95 on a 2 man auger from the rental place in Council Bluffs instead of digging all 18 holes myself in that hard clay, and we knocked out the whole run in about 4 hours. My back thanked me the next morning, but man those machines will twist your shoulder if you hit a root. Anyone else got a trick for keeping the auger from walking on you?
