Honestly, I just did a free 'deep clean' demo for a friend's neighbor and it turned into a 4-hour job.
Tbh, I didn't set a clear scope or price upfront and basically lost a whole morning's potential pay. How do you guys handle pricing for a first-time service like that?

My local coffee shop started charging a 50 cent "rush hour fee" after 8am. It feels like everything is moving to a pay-for-time model now. Scott.alex is right, it's the same energy as surge pricing for rideshares or those parking apps that charge more per minute. Soon they'll put a timer on the public library chairs.
