Overheard a client at the library say they'd pay double for a 'no hassle' experience
I was grabbing a coffee yesterday and the person at the next table was complaining to a friend about their last freelancer. They said, 'I would have paid twice as much if they just showed up on time and sent a simple invoice.' It made me realize my first logo design quote of $150 might be too low if I focus on being super reliable and clear. I'm going to add a line item for a single revision round and a proper contract. Has anyone else adjusted their first price based on what clients actually complain about?

That line about paying double for no hassle is so real. I once spent more time chasing a client for feedback than I did on the actual work, it was a whole mess. You're smart to build that reliability into your price from the start. A clear contract and a set number of revisions saves everyone a headache, even if the number on the quote looks a bit bigger. Honestly, the clients who get annoyed by that are probably the ones you don't want anyway.

Yep, that's the client filter right there.

My friend lost a client over a messy invoice, which totally proves @hugo_green66's point about hassle.
