Pro tip: Do not pay $150 for a gig platform bid package
I dropped $150 on a premium bid package on that freelancer site and got zero responses, just crickets. Anyone else get burned by those upfront fees instead of waiting for free listings?

Buddy of mine dropped like $200 on one of those and got two scam offers and a guy trying to pay him in "exposure." He was pretty salty about it for weeks. You try hitting up some smaller projects first to build a rep?
