Spent $50 on a contract template and it saved my first gig

Bought a basic freelance contract off a legal site after getting burned on payment terms for a $300 logo job, and wondering if anyone else thinks spending upfront on paperwork is worth it for small projects.

$50 sounds steep but you're right that some lessons cost way more than that. Is $50 really a lot if it stops you from making a mistake that could set you back hundreds? Sometimes paying a little bit now saves you from paying a whole lot later.

Cheaper than learning the hard way again" is how I justify half my Amazon purchases. At least this time I got a story and a receipt.
