My fridge full of roses became a science experiment

Last Tuesday I stuffed 200 stems into my walk-in to make room for a wedding order, and the door seal was so worn it never got below 60 degrees. By Thursday half the hydrangeas had drooped and the roses were opening way too fast. Anyone else dealing with aging coolers, and do you just replace the gasket or call in a repair guy?
