My whole cooler went out during a wedding setup in Charleston and I had to get creative
I was setting up for a big wedding at the Battery Carriage House, and my portable cooler's power cord got pinched in a door, killing it with all the ceremony flowers inside. I ended up filling every sink and bathtub in the venue's prep kitchen with cold water to keep the hydrangeas from wilting before the 4 PM start. Has anyone else had a total equipment fail right before a big event and what was your quick fix?

Man, at least you had sinks! I once used a hotel ice bucket as a mini fridge for cake toppers.

Watched a DJ's main speaker blow out right as the first dance was supposed to start. He ran to his car, grabbed a tiny Bluetooth speaker, and held it up to his microphone like some kind of sad, techy megaphone. The couple danced to a thin, echoing version of their song while he just stood there looking defeated.

Saw a photographer's main camera die right before the bride walked in. He had his assistant run to a nearby store for disposable film cameras (they still sell them, somehow) and passed them out to guests. Got some weird, blurry shots but at least he got something.
