Pro tip: Stop using floral foam, it's hurting our planet more than you think.
I had to toss out buckets of foam after a big job and felt guilty. This stuff never breaks down and pollutes water, yet it's the go-to for many arrangements. What other choices have you used that hold up well?

Remember seeing a huge pile of that green foam at a wedding cleanup last year, it just felt wrong. I started using chicken wire shaped into balls for big pieces, it's a bit more work but holds stems tight. For smaller things, those reusable plastic frogs work, or even just a heavy vase with crisscrossed tape on top. It's a hassle to switch, but seeing that foam waste, like janag43 said about annoying design, makes you want a better way.
