Have you tried using a collapsible bucket so you can just pop it open and dump the whole thing if needed? Less stems means less cleanup.

You know, @lisas78, I used to think collapsible buckets were kind of gimmicky. Like, "oh great, another thing that'll break in a season." But you mentioning the cleanout part got me thinking. I had a regular bucket fill up with mud and stems last week and had to dump the whole thing from the top, splashing everywhere. Your way sounds way less annoying. Might have to grab one of those and give it a shot.

Exactly, that whole splashing mess is the worst... dealing with muddy water everywhere just hits different when you're already tired.
