The 2am bucket rinse that changed my rose game

I used to think flower food was a scam. Just water and snip the stems, right? Then I took over a shop in Austin and the roses kept drooping by day two. An old timer said try the cold water and bleach trick. I thought he was nuts. Tried it anyway on a 50 stem order for a wedding. Those roses looked better on day four than my fresh ones. Now I do a bleach rinse every morning at 2am before market runs. Has anyone else found a cheap trick that sounded fake but actually saved your stock?
