Took me 3 months to figure out why my hydrangeas kept wilting at the shop

I run a small flower cart setup near the farmers market in Boise, and every single batch of hydrangeas I brought in would droop by mid-afternoon. I tried different water temps, cutting stems at angles, even changing suppliers twice. Finally a buddy who does wedding work in Portland told me to check my cooler's humidity sensor, it was reading 20% higher than actual. Swapped out the sensor for $14 and the hydrangeas last two full days now. Has anyone else had a dumb equipment issue that wrecked their flowers and took way too long to pin down?
