Vent: a bride's mom in Savannah rearranged my whole sample table and now I'm second guessing my setup
So last Saturday I set up a consultation at my shop for a bride and her mom, and I laid out around 14 sample arrangements on the table so we could talk through color and shape. About ten minutes in, the mom got up, moved every single vase into her own little groups, and said my layout made it hard to "see the vision." Part of me thinks she had a point, because I had tall stuff blocking the short stuff, and they did book the $1,800 package anyway. But another part of me thinks clients should trust how we stage things, since we do this all day. So here's my debate, do you all lay samples out by color, by size, or just let clients poke around? I want to know if rearranging is normal or if I should set firmer ground rules next time.
